Welcome to the 2010 HSBC Japan Golfers Series
HSBC are the "Champions of Golf Worldwide" and pride themselves in being
long-term "top-to-bottom" sponsors of golf with junior, amateur and professional programmes in over 25
countries.
Japan Golf Fans will no doubt be excited with the victory by Ai Miyazato at the HSBC Women's
Champions Tournament in Shanghai on February 28, this being her second victory in a row on the US LPGA
Tour.
HSBC have also shown their committment to the amateur golf scene in Japan through
their support of the very successfully completed HSBC Japan Golfers Fall Series in
2009 Following on that success we are delighted to have a
schedule of 8 events for the 2010 HSBC Japan Golfers Series which will take place from April to November. The
schedule will be divided into two parts, with the first four events comprising of the HSBC Spring Series and
the final four events making up the HSBC Fall Series.
Each event will be an individual event with prizes being awarded to the winners at the end of
each event. Points will also be awarded to each participant based on their final ranking in each event. The player
who accumulates the most number of points over the final four events will be declared the winner of the
HSBC Fall Series and will be declared Grand Champion.
The tournaments in the Series are open to golfers of all nationalities, with no
restriction on participation as the New Peoria handicaping system will be used. The HSBC Fall Series
has kicked off successfully with the Hon Chiba Suntory
Cup which took place at Hon Chiba Country Club on August 22. Results for this event can be viewed
HERE. Registration is now open for the
Alfa Romeo Centenary Golf Celebration
on September 20, which will take place at Haruna no Mori Country Club, and the Westin Weekend II which will take place on October 23/24 at
President Resort Karuizawa, and Haruna no Mori Country Club.
